ole in fla

Ole and I just returned from Florida.  Missy, my good friend from college, is living in Miami with her husband Josh and little guy Gus, so we jetted down for a weekend visit.  I enjoyed seeing their life in Miami and appreciated the comfort of hanging with old friends. With two kids in tow, we ate some great meals out and hit the beach.  Of course we also scoped out the Miami playground scene.
Ole had his first swing on the swingset and loved it!  His arms were outstretched to complete the flying effect.
Back at the house, Gus wheeled out the whole fleet and the boys zoomed cars around the kitchen floor.
We dined at Wynwood Kitchen and Bar, a tapas restaurant with a great atmosphere and a museum's worth of mural covered walls.  We enjoyed a great meal while Gus played with rocks and Ole gnawed on rice rusks.
And then, after much sunscreen lathering and hat donning, the beach.  It was hot and sunny and sandy, just like it should be...wonderful!
Ole lounges on my legs under the beach umbrella.
Missy and Gus work on a sand castle.
Josh, Gus, and Evelio relax at the shoreline.
